Happy Rabbit
Make sure that your mindset is positive while you consume your food, and your body will turn any poison into nectar. - Deepak Chopra
Now, we’re going to have to debunk a few elements of the viral video currently making the rounds, and focus on the medical facts the study, which in fact was conducted in 1978 by Dr. Robert Nerem, involving actual rabbits, found.
In this study the rabbits were fed a high cholesterol diet.
One group of rabbits showed a significantly lower cholesterol buildup in their arteries.
Later it surfaced that one of the lab technicians, Murina Levesque, responsible for feeding that group of rabbits would - while feeding them the high cholesterol diet - pet, cuddle, and talk to the rabbits, stroke, pet, and kiss them instead of just throwing the food at them like the other lab technicians would.
As a result of that compassionate treatment these rabbits sent the cholesterol onto a different metabolic pathway, leading to a significantly lower buildup of cholesterol deposits in the arteries of those animals fed with compassion.
Other than promoted by Deepak Chopra, it wasn’t really the compassion itself that led to the rabbits lower levels of cholesterol.
It was the lower level of stress these animals experienced during their feeding, because they were in a calm mindset as a result of the compassion they were treated with.

It’s not entirely about the food that you eat.
In fact, I personally admitted in my earlier post “Diet without Sacrifice” that despite the overall healthy diet I permanently maintain, I do occasionally “slip up”, and find myself eating a chocolate bar (or four), or fall out of line otherwise, like drinking my occasional energy drink (yes, the bad type) instead of resorting the the much healthier, all organic version I wrote about earlier as well.
It’s your overall condition, your awareness, your consciousness, your emotional state, and your state of mind at the time you’re consuming a meal that plays an underrated role on how you process the food, and which way it affects your overall wellbeing.
Finding your happy place before eating
I LOVE! To cook, so for me the “before the meal time” is meditative in and of itself. So, I’m covered; are you? ;-)
Finding your “happy place” can be challenging. If it’s not the job your processing before or during your meal it’s one of the gazillion other things going on, requiring your attention.
For one of my principals it’s about their kids being around them, which totally calms them down. All the more important that you try to have your meals at your house with your family… the way it used to be, and worked out quite well, is a tradition my principal wanted reintroduced as a manifested tradition into their family life.

And this was just the easiest of them all.
In my article “Only-fans foot-models and influencers need life coaching, too” I mentioned one principal who had made a fortune as a foot-model on only fans.
Obviously, they were very focussed on their feet, and with that came the urge to buy shoes. All day, every day.
This person, for instance, was only in a happy, and relaxed state of mind when they had bought enough shoes for the day… which was technically impossible.
How long ago was your last happy place renovation/revamp?
One of the things I’ll always attempt to establish with a principal is where their personal happy place is.
Above examples outline quite clearly that this state of mind can vary drastically depending on the person.
In a lot of cases, however, I end up having to establish a happy place with my principal in the first place because their happy place wasn’t happy at all.
Doesn’t make sense? Well… some people tend to create this construct in an earlier part of their life. A life that has little to nothing to do with the phase of their life they’re in right now.
The effect of this “unrenovated” happy place is that it’s tainted by all the negative baggage of the past, associated feelings, and emotions.
So while of course that part of their life was important, in that it taught them valuable lessons, it’s now outdated, and should be replaced with a more contemporary happy place. (Part this can be closely associated with manifestation techniques, for example).
Hope you’re going to be a happy rabbit at the dinner table this weekend :-)
