On any normal Wheels-up Wednesday I normally reference the infamous 72 Hour Retreat because this is my travel day back to one of my homes. 

The 72 Hour Retreat is the onboarding session I conduct with every potential Principal. 

Probably because I mention it so frequently, I get asked quite often what the 72 Hour Retreat is, beside associated questions like how it differs from the onboarding sessions other coaches perform, and why it is so much more beneficial than conventional onboardings. 

In my onboarding sessions we not only “meet and greet” to get a sense of each other; no! 

Other than a normal coaching onboarding, this session is hard work, and represents the foundation of our journey to come. 

We’re wealthy, and we have no time to waste on chit-chat! 

The first, and most excruciating exercise is the “Full Spectrum Life Analysis”.

Why are The 72 Hour Retreat, and the “Full Spectrum Life Analysis” the best tools for a Perfect Life? 

First of all, the Full Spectrum Life Analysis is an integral part of the 72 Hour Retreat. 

Most coaches will attempt to analyse your life with the help of the dull “Wheel of Life”, which is a standard-issue template in any coaching-toolbox.

Problem 1: Analysis vs Full Spectrum Life Analysis 

Don’t get me wrong. A through analysis of your life is paramount for any coaching enterprise to be successful. 

That’s the reason I took that standard-issue wheel of life, and put it on steroids. 

Other coaches will gladly ask you to point out where you stand through the limited parameters they have in the wheel of life. 

This gives them an indicator on how to rape your pockets, yet doesn’t help you. 

The Full Spectrum Life Analysis, on the other hand, goes into much more detail on a larger variety of parameters than the wheel of life template offers. 

This, in turn, will give you a much more detailed perspective on where you stand in life, and which levers we need to crank to get you to that perfect life you desire. 

The wheel of life is standard-issue. And you’re a high net-worth individual, so anything but standard. 

Problem 2: Granularity 

The more granular a dataset is, the more precise the conclusions you can draw from that data will become. 

That’s a simple fact of data analysis. 

So which do you think will yield better results for you…

Like I mentioned earlier… the wheel of life surely has its application in common coaching.

360° vs 41,253° should be an eyeopener by itself… but wait, there’s more! 

The Full Spectrum Life Analysis creates more depth by including emotions into the equation, thereby making the picture of the status quo of your life much more vivid.
